Originally hailing from Holbrook, NSW, Tim completed his podiatry degree at Charles Sturt University and has since built a reputation for delivering caring treatment, in the areas of ingrown nails, sports injuries, general foot care, and conducting neurovascular and diabetic assessments.

Frequently Asked Questions
Podiatrist Oakleigh
How To Choose Oakleigh or Hughesdale, VIC Podiatrist Oakleigh?
Compare podiatrists in Oakleigh or Hughesdale, VIC for qualifications, experience, expertise, services offered, clinic location, patient reviews, availability, cost of consultation and treatments, and the equipment and technology used. It’s a good idea to visit the clinic you like in person to get a feel for the environment and the staff. It’s the best way to make sure you feel comfortable and confident in their ability to treat your foot and ankle problems.
It’s also a good idea to ask about the podiatrist’s availability, consultation costs, and the type of equipment or technology they use. If possible, visit the clinic in person to see if the environment feels welcoming and if the staff make you feel comfortable and confident in their care. Taking these steps can help you find the right podiatrist for your foot and ankle needs.
Should I See An Orthotics Plus Podiatrist Or Orthotist For My Feet?
Orthotists and podiatrists are both healthcare professionals who specialise in foot and ankle care. Melbourne podiatrists diagnose and treat foot and ankle conditions. Orthotists create custom orthotics, braces, or other devices to support and sometimes correct foot and ankle problems. Depending on your type of foot and ankle problem, you may need to see both for full treatment.
What Does A Podiatrist Do For Your Feet?
At our Oakleigh clinic, our general podiatry services include a thorough assessment of your feet and legs to identify any issues, like pain, injuries, or abnormalities. From there, we create a personalised treatment plan that may include medications, lifestyle adjustments, targeted exercises, orthotic insoles, or even surgery if needed, all aimed at improving your foot health. We’re also here to provide preventive care and education to help you maintain strong, healthy feet for the long term.
Why Is Podiatry Foot Care Essential For Your Feet?
Quality podiatry care plays a big role in keeping your feet and lower limbs healthy and functioning well. Your feet endure a lifetime of stress and pressure, which can lead to chronic pain, discomfort, and mobility issues if left unchecked. Expert podiatry services can help identify and treat foot problems early, prevent complications, and enhance your overall quality of life, keeping you active and pain-free.
Can I Use NDIS Funding For Podiatry Services?
Yes, you can use NDIS funding for podiatry care services in Oakleigh if the services are considered necessary to help you achieve your goals and enhance your quality of life. To access these services, you’ll need to collaborate with your NDIS plan manager to confirm if podiatry care is covered under your NDIS plan and align it with your specific needs.
What Is The Difference Between Podiatry And Physio?
Both podiatry and physiotherapy focus on improving the health and function of the lower limbs. While podiatrists specialise in diagnosing and treating conditions specific to the feet and ankles, physiotherapists take a broader approach, addressing musculoskeletal issues in the ankles, legs, hips, and lower back. Depending on your specific needs, you may benefit from seeing both a podiatrist and a physiotherapist for a well-rounded, comprehensive treatment plan.
How Much Does Podiatry In Oakleigh & Hughesdale, VIC Cost?
The cost of professional podiatry care in Oakleigh and Hughesdale can vary depending on the clinic, the services provided, and the type and extent of treatment you need. For an accurate estimate tailored to your specific needs, it’s best to contact the clinic directly. They’ll be happy to provide detailed pricing information and answer any questions you have.
Are Podiatry Costs Covered By Medicare?
No, Medicare doesn’t usually cover routine podiatry costs. But Medicare Part B may cover certain podiatry services if deemed necessary by a medical doctor. Routine foot care, like nail trimming or removing corns, is generally not covered. For specific details about what may be covered, it’s best to consult with your healthcare provider or Medicare representative.
What Conditions Can Podiatrists Treat?
Podiatrists in Oakleigh & Hughesdale, VIC can treat various foot and lower limb conditions such as heel pain, sports injuries, diabetic foot care, nail disorders, shin splints, callus, leg pain, nail surgery, ingrown toenail, foot and ankle pain, and postural problems that cater for individual needs. With the help of the latest technology, we diagnose and treat a range of foot and ankle conditions to help you achieve (and maintain) excellent foot health.
What Is Shockwave Therapy, And How Is It Used In Podiatry?
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses high-energy shockwaves to stimulate healing and alleviate pain in the foot and ankle. It’s used in podiatry to treat conditions such as plantar fasciitis and other chronic pain conditions.
